Woman rescued from Mt. Pleasant woods
A woman who was reportedly missing overnight in Mt. Pleasant Township was found in woods suffering from hypothermia Friday morning.
A Washington County 911 supervisor said the woman, who was in her 50s, was taken to Washington Hospital after being found about 8:20 a.m. off Lynn Portal Road in Mt. Pleasant.
The supervisor said dispatchers working the afternoon shift Thursday had received information that a woman was stopping vehicles in the same area asking for a ride.
It was not immediately known if it was the same woman who was found the next day in the woods.
There also was a report Thursday that a woman had been wandering in a Walmart store, resulting in a search for her in the area.
The 911 dispatcher did not have the name of the woman found Friday.
Mt. Pleasant police were not available for comment that afternoon.
