FRANKLIN

Wrong-way driver: Steven Shane Franklin, 46, of Maysville, W.Va., was charged Friday with driving under the influence and multiple traffic violations after state police said he drove the wrong way in the southbound lanes of Interstate 79 in Franklin Jan. 17. Police said found him parked in the median about a mile south of the Waynesburg exit. Blood tests showed Franklin had a blood-alcohol content of 0.356 percent, more than four times the legal limit for operating a vehicle in Pennsylvania, according to court documents.

Stolen motorcycle: Tyler Andrew Gump, 27, of 354 W. High St., Waynesburg, and Chloe Ellen Jones, 23, of 409 Mountain View Garden, Waynesburg, were charged Friday with theft and receiving stolen property after state police said they stole a motorcycle from a resident at 312 Tollgate Run Road in Franklin Township on Feb. 15.

JEFFERSON

Police chase: State police said they had to perform a “pit” maneuver to stop a speeding car in Jefferson Township last week. Police said Robert Bradford Airwyke, 27, of 430 Fourth St., Greensboro, led them on a chase after a trooper attempted to stop his vehicle in the 300 block of Icebox Road shortly after 9 p.m. Feb. 27. Police said Airwyke’s vehicle sped through a four-way intersection without stopping, crashed through a fence and struck a tree, but continued. The trooper then performed a maneuver that caused the driver to lose control and the vehicle to become inoperable on Sugar Camp Road near Prison Road. Neither Airwyke nor his passenger, Tonya Yeager, was injured. Airwyke was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, fleeing police, accident involving damage, leaving the scene of a crash and numerous traffic violations. He was arraigned by District Judge Glenn Bates and released on a $10,000 percentage bond.

MORGAN

Simple assault charge: Sarrah Michelle Rudnik, 21, of 2 Jefferson Estates, Jefferson, was charged with simple assault and harassment after state police said she struck her boyfriend, Jason Hoge Jr., in the face multiple times and scratched his neck during an argument Feb. 27 at their Morgan Township home.

WAYNESBURG

Disorderly conduct: Brody R. Ostrander, 27, of 554 N. Richhill St., Waynesburg, was charged with disorderly conduct after borough police said he knocked out a window in his apartment and later argued with officers shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday.
