Elco woman accused of assaulting, threatening emergency response personnel
An Elco woman is facing accusations she punched a firefighter in the groin and threatened to kill others who were summoned to her home this month over a health problem.
Mary Morgan, 53, of 506 First Ave., also is accused of threatening to kill nurses at Mon Valley Hospital, where she was taken 7:30 p.m. March 17, court records allege.
Morgan’s boyfriend called for an ambulance that evening after she began to go in and out of consciousness, Roscoe, Elco, Stockdale and Allenport Regional police stated in the affidavit.
Shortly after emergency workers arrived, Morgan allegedly punched firefighter Allan Waraksa, police noted in court documents.
Police said officers witnessed the death threats that were made against the staff at the hospital in Carroll Township.
Morgan is facing charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, obstructing emergency response services, making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment.
District Judge Larry Hopkins signed a warrant Friday for her arrest.
