No serious injuries in school bus crash on Route 21
WAYNESBURG – State police said no serious injuries were reported following a Friday afternoon crash that involved a school bus in Franklin Township.
The water tanker truck collided with the 30-passenger bus that was carrying Central Greene students just before 4 p.m. on Route 21 at Elm Drive.
Police said the driver of the bus was taken by ambulance to a hospital for evaluation, and one mother took her daughter – an unidentified student on the bus – to the hospital after picking her up at the scene.
Police said they are still investigating the cause of the crash. Waynesburg-Franklin firefighters and EMS Southwest medics assisted at the scene.
