Indecent exposure charge: William L. Baker, 57, of 215 Harmony Church Road, Belle Vernon, was charged with indecent exposure Thursday. According to the criminal complaint, Baker exposed himself to a female employee at the Mon Valley YMCA on March 9. A witness identified Baker, police said. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. April 17 before District Judge Mark Wilson.
MONONGAHELA
Assault alleged: Tyler Ryan, 18, of Weisbecker Lane, Monongahela, was charged with simple assault Tuesday. According to the criminal complaint, police found the victim outside 203 Third Ave., bleeding from the chin. A witness told police Ryan had punched the victim, who required stitches for his injury. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. April 17 before District Judge Mark Wilson.
Hit-and-run charge: Robert Cucchiorini, 49, of Brokaw Avenue, Donora, was charged Tuesday for crashing into a convenience store and driving away earlier in the month. According to the criminal complaint, Cucchiorini drove into the side of the 7-11 building at 200 Dry Run Road the morning of March 4. Court papers state he struck the yellow security poles and glass doors. Cucchiorini met with police two days later and said he had accidentally accelerated while reaching for his wallet, which he had dropped on the floor. According to the complaint, Cucchiorini said he panicked and drove away. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. April 17 before District Judge Mark Wilson.
HOUSTON
Insurance fraud charge: The Pennsylvania attorney general’s office charged Elijah Yarbrough, 23, of North Johnson Road, Houston, with insurance fraud. According to the criminal complaint, Yarbrough struck a deer with his vehicle on Nov. 4, 2018. After he was told by Progressive he did not have comprehensive/collision coverage and deer accidents were not covered, Yarbrough is accused of calling Progressive and adding the coverage, then reporting the accident again. According to the complaint, Yarbrough later claimed to a Progressive representative the accident occurred after he added the coverage to his policy. Yarbrough told the attorney general’s office this was a false statement, according to the complaint. Yarbrough was arraigned Thursday morning before District Judge David Mark and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 7 before Mark.
WASHINGTON
Stalking charges: Kristopher James Strejcek, 33, of 795 Sixth St., Pitcairn, was charged with misdemeanor harassment, stalking, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. According to the criminal complaint, city police were dispatched about 12:30 a.m. Friday to the 10 block of Third Street, where Strejcek was allegedly blocking a woman’s car. Police said Strejcek attempted to flee, and pushed an officer. When police arrested him, Strejcek allegedly dropped a stamp bag. The woman told police Strejcek had found her in South Strabane, Peters Township and the city throughout the day, and harassed her each time. Strejcek was placed in Washington County jail and arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka, who set bond at $10,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. April 8 before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
