Benefit dinner set for Saturday

A benefit spaghetti dinner in memory of Ernie Myers will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in the Mt. Pleasant Township fire hall, 106 Main St., Hickory. Myers suffered from chronic intestinal obstructions for nearly 15 years and died Feb. 28.
All proceeds from the event will be used to pay for the Myers family’s medical bills and expenses. The dinner will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert and beverages. There also will be a Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
