Some 60 volunteers helped make repairs and other improvements to the building of the nonprofit Sunlight Club in Washington during the 18th annual Comcast Cares Day.

Sunlight is a nonprofit that hosts addiction-recovery meetings every day at its building on East Maiden Street. Legacy Recovery Church, which is led by Pastor Doug Bush, a former member of the Sunlight board of directors, worships at the building every Sunday.

On Saturday, work started at about 8 a.m. and lasted well into the afternoon as employees of Comcast’s Washington location and other volunteers weeded, landscaped and replaced ceiling tiles and laid a new floor. Four Star General Pizza donated food for those working.
