A three-vehicle accident snarled traffic on Route 19 Monday morning.

According to South Strabane police, a Toyota Camry traveling north struck a Ford Focus as it was crossing Route 19’s intersection with Trinity Place.

The Toyota’s front end then went underneath a box truck in the southbound lane. The woman driving the vehicle was taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The woman’s vehicle hit the truck’s 60-gallon gas tank, and caused gas to leak onto the road. The county HAZMAT team responded.

Police said there were no additional injuries.
