We have also released our new 2019 facade grant application.

Will Prince, Main Street manager for the Washington Business District Authority, has announced two business-related events that are planned in the city over the next week.

A Main Street Mixer networking event, for business owners and downtown Washington stakeholders, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Washington Winery. Representatives from Honeycomb Credit will discuss crowdfunding resources for small businesses, and a representative from Mansmann Foundation will talk about the organization’s peer-to-peer business pod in the city. Pod members learn business tips from one another.

WBDA has organized a “Business Bootcamp: Marketing & Social Media Best Practices” for next Tuesday. Brett Smith, of the University of Pittsburgh Small Business Development Center, will relate tips and trends that can be implemented into a marketing plan for a business to reach a target audience. Those interested in attending must RSVP by Friday on eventbrite or by calling 724-288-7156.

Prince also said WBDA also has released its 2019 facade grant application, with details to be provided later.
