Drug possession: Terry Lee Workman, 39, of 412 Franklin St., Elco, was charged with 27 counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia by borough police onMay 2. According to the criminal complaint, Workman “passed out” several times while at the checkout counter of the GetGo at 3143 National Pike Road. Police said Workman gave officers permission to search his vehicle. According to the complaint, police found empty stamp bags, a hypodermic syringe and 12 stamp bags of suspected heroin. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. June 3 before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
SOMERSET
Two-vehicle accident: A two-vehicle accident delayed traffic at the intersection of Route 136 and Route 519 Tuesday morning. According to state police, a blue sedan was traveling north on 519 when a white sedan failed to stop at a red light while traveling east on 136. The driver of the blue vehicle went to Washington Hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
WASHINGTON
Burglary: City police investigated a burglary that occurred Friday at a vacant property at 380 E. Maiden St. Police said someone broke in and stole several heat and hot water registers. There are currently no suspects.
