Police: West Finley woman breaks hip in domestic assault

A Canton Township man is accused of throwing his girlfriend to the ground with such force Saturday that she broke her hip, court records allege.
State police Sunday arrested the suspect, Brian Kieth Durbin, 46, of 849 Henderson Ave., on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, online court records show.
Police filed the charges after being called to Washington Hospital about 10:30 a.m. Sunday to speak with the victim, Stacy Lynn Hanning, a trooper noted in the affidavit.
Hanning told police she was arguing with Durbin and the situation escalated after she tried to shove him out of her way outside of her residence on Buckeye Road in East Finley Township.
Durbin allegedly grabbed her and threw her to the ground, where she was unable to move. He then carried her into her residence, put her in a bed and left, the affidavit indicates. She said she was unable to walk or use her right leg at that point.
Police learned at the hospital that Hanning had a broken right hip, which needs to be replaced.
Durbin is in Washington County jail on $20,000 bail set by District Judge Curtis Thompson.
