Harassment charge: Amy Marie Friend, 19, of Carmichaels, was cited by state police for harassment after she allegedly threw a cup of lemonade and cigarette filters at a 21-year-old Rices Landing woman Tuesday night on West George Street.

Assault charge: Luke William Spencer, 34, of 120 Hampton Road, Bristoria, was charged by state police with simple assault and harassment following a domestic disturbance at his residence Monday night. Police said Spencer had argued with his girlfriend before throwing a cellphone at her leg, grabbing her by the head and striking her head off a wall, and throwing a house phone at her. Spencer was arraigned Thursday afternoon by District Judge Lee Watson and jailed on $20,000 bond.

Stolen truck: Curtis Matthew Vanbuskirk, 29, of 104 East Alley, Waynesburg, was charged by borough police with felony theft for allegedly stealing a flatbed truck from JD Higgins, who owns Higgins Hauling and Jay D. Enterprises on East First Street. Police said surveillance footage showed Vanbuskirk stealing the truck about 1:17 a.m. Thursday. A GPS tracker on the truck showed that in was in Washington about 8:45 a.m. Washington police were contacted, and they discovered the vehicle. Nearby they reportedly saw Vanbuskirk exit a pawn shop, where he sold tools that had been stored in the bed of the stolen truck. Police said that while interviewing Vanbuskirk, he admitted to stealing the truck and allegedly told police that he planned to sell the tools and use the money to buy heroin. Vanbuskirk was arraigned Thursday afternoon by District Judge David Balint and jailed on $150,000 bond.
