FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP
Crash: Donald Throckmorton, 78, of Waynesburg, was not injured Friday when the rubber floor mat of the vehicle he was driving became stuck on the gas pedal, and the vehicle accelerated downhill and crashed into a guardrail on Mount Morris Road. The vehicle then traveled down an embankment and into a creek, police said.
Crash: Nicholas Niskach, 37, of Imperial, was not injured Saturday when his vehicle failed to negotiate a lefthand curve on northbound I-79, left the road and hit an embankment. The accident occured about 4:45 p.m., police said.
SOUTH STRABANE
Crash: A vehicle being driven by Ronda K. Webb, 53, of Coushatta, La., was traveling west in the right lane of I-70 Monday at about 9:30 a.m., when it went off the road and hit a concrete barrier, according to police. Webb sustained minor injuries. A passenger, Harold Webb, 64, also of Coushatta, La., was not injured.
Crash: Devon Leduff, 23, of Locust Grove, Ga., was traveling westbound on I-70 Friday when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a concrete barrier, police said. After it hit the barrier, it slid off the road into an embankment. Leduff was not injured.
NORTH STRABANE
Crash: Jessica Rieber, 41, of Washington, was traveling south on I-79 Thursday at about 5:15 p.m. when she swerved to avoid a vehicle stopped in the left lane, went into the median and hit a ditch embankment, according to police. Rieber sustained minor injuries and was transported to Washington Hospital for treatment. She is being charged with summary traffic violations.
