Theft: A 39-year-old woman reported to state police that her residence on Holbert Stretch was broken into while she was away between May 15 and Sunday. Police said the suspect damaged the door in order to enter the home, before taking two televisions, a radio and jewelry.

Firearms charge: Bassam Mohammed Abulaban, 28, of Morgantown, W.Va., was charged by state police for possessing firearms without a license and driving under the influence following an incident Monday night on Interstate 79. Police said they saw a man in a truck, pulled over with hazard lights flashing. Police said when they approached, the man appeared to be reclined in his seat and there was a loaded pistol on the seat next to him. Police said they found two other pistols in the vehicle with Abulaban, who didn’t have a license for them. Police said Abulaban appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
