Mt. Morris man jailed on sex assault charges

A Mt. Morris man is in jail after allegedly sexually assaulting a teen girl last week in Dunkard Township.
State police said that on Wednesday, Children and Youth Services alerted police to a 17-year-old girl’s report that she was sexually assaulted May 18 by Cyrus Jay Fisher, 18, of 226 Bunner Hill Road.
The girl told police that Fisher had been staying at her Dunkard Township home with her family since May 16, because her family was “trying to help Fisher out,” the criminal complaint said. The assault allegedly happened May 18, when the girl was lying on the couch, and Fisher lay down next to her.
The girl told police that she told Fisher to get away from her and that she told him “no” three times while he sexually assaulted her on the couch, the complaint said. After a minute, she allegedly was able to push Fisher away, according to court documents.
Police said Fisher allegedly texted the girl an apology three days later, after her family kicked him out of their house.
Fisher was charged by state police with aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault. He was arraigned Wednesday night by District Judge Glenn Bates and jailed on $20,000 bond.
