MONESSEN

Robbery: Brent Ryan Jones, 35, of 1209 Reservoir Ave., Monessen, was charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and harassment by city police Friday. According to the criminal complaint, Jones grabbed $28 in cash out of a woman’s hand on Ninth Street on May 22 and threatened to shoot her. A preliminary hearing date has not been scheduled.

Trespassing: Robert Anthony Visco, 30, of Rostraver Township, was charged with criminal trespass, flight to avoid apprehension and theft by unlawful taking by city police Friday. According to the criminal complaint, Visco and two others, Donald Scott Aldous and Travis Lee Holmes, stole cabinets from a home on Ninth Street about 4 p.m. Tuesday. Police said Visco fled and has four outstanding warrants in Washington County. A preliminary hearing has not been scheduled.

ROSTRAVER

Assault alleged: Ronald Joseph Zelinsky, 55, of 320 Patton Road, Rostraver Township, was charged with simple assault by township police Thursday. According to the criminal complaint, Zelinsky grabbed a 16-year-old girl by the throat and punched her in the face several times, chipping one of her front teeth, Wednesday evening. Zelinsky was released from Westmoreland County Prison on a $5,000 unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. June 7 before District Judge Cheryl Peck-Yakopec.
