In autumn, the color orange may bring to mind pumpkins and leaves. Leaves fall and shrivel, and pumpkin decorations give way to green garlands and red bows, but orange remains evident outdoors. Monday’s sunrise had several fiery tones, and dotting the landscape in Washington was pyracantha shrub, also called firethorn, along East Wheeling Street. Meanwhile, along Arrowhead Trail in Peters Township, twining bittersweet brightens gray branches.
