State police issued an arrest warrant for a Millsboro man who is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl after buying her alcohol.

Damian Michael Dipasquale, 21, of Mill Street is charged with aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 16, corruption of minors, indecent assault of a person less than 16 and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, police interviewed the girl at her home Sept. 4. She was visibly intoxicated and said Dipasquale picked her up at a church, bought her alcohol at a store in Carmichaels, and took her to his house where he allegedly tried to have sex with her.

She said she threw the empty can in the church parking lot, which police found.

Police said the girl showed them text messages in which Dipasquale said he wanted to buy her alcohol. At the house, she said he kissed and groped her. She told him no but he allegedly continued, and sexually assaulted her, police alleged.

The teen reportedly said he stopped when she told him her mom was calling. She said he also tried to get her to drink more alcohol throughout the night.

Charges were filed Wednesday before District Judge Lee Watson.
