A legal notice published in Tuesday’s Observer-Reporter prompted a flurry of phone calls from readers wondering whether the newspaper was ceasing publication.

The Observer-Reporter, which was sold to Ogden Newspapers in 2018, is not shutting its doors. The public notice was placed by the newspaper’s previous parent company, the Observer Publishing Co., to alert any potential creditors that it is dissolving and wrapping up business.
