NASCAR’s #76 POW/MIA Freedom Car made a pit stop in Washington Thursday afternoon while on its way from North Carolina to Erie, where it will race Saturday. The Team Johnson Motorsports and their race car stopped at the American Legion Post 175. The team’s goal for the black and white car that says “You are not forgotten” is to bring awareness and to keep POW/MIA issues in the forefront of discussion across the nation. The team owner, Jack Johnson and his son, Jerick, who drives the car in races, showed it off to many local veterans Thursday evening.
