Assault alleged: Marvin Jordan, 44, of 936 Leeds Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with aggravated assault, strangulation and simple assault, court records show. Police accuse him of banging a woman’s head off the floor and choking her about 1:20 a.m. Thursday at 600 Division St. District Judge Wayne Vlasic signed a warrant for Jordan’s arrest.
NORTH STRABANEMan jailed: Daniel Levi Scarfo, 31, of Pittsburgh, is charged by township police with possessing six grams of methamphetamine, public drunkenness, resisting arrest and attempted theft, court records show. The charges stem from an incident about 7 a.m. Wednesday in a warehouse parking lot at 900 Highland Meadows Drive. Scarfo is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Michael Manfredi.
ROSTRAVER
Trio charged: Britney Lee Shrader, 28, of Rostraver Township, Jeremiah Charles Layhue, 42, of Speers, and George Michael Doty, 48, of North Belle Vernon, are each charged by township police with trespassing, court records show. Police accuse them of being in an unoccupied room at Comfort Inn, 4300 Route 51, about 12:05 a.m. Sept. 9. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges Wednesday in summonses.
