Buchsenschutz and his brother, four-year-old Greyson, were happy to get out on an unseasonably warm winter day; their father, Michael, said the boys picked up riding their scooters really quickly.

Patty Silvers, of Prosperity, and her granddaughter, Allie Bennington, spend the afternoon Wednesday running around the Driscoll Park playground. Bennington, 2, loved sledding – er, sliding – down the big yellow slides.

Scattered rain sprinkles didn’t deter locals from spending yesterday outside. Though gray, the unseasonably warm winter afternoon was the perfect opportunity for kids to slide, swing and scooter around Washington County.
