The deaths of two area men in separate traffic accidents over the weekend are being investigated.

Dustin Michael Chiodo, 35, of Bentleyville, was found dead by a passing motorist on Twilight Hollow Road at North Avenue  in Twilight about 4:38 a.m. Sunday. According to the Washington County coroner’s office, Chiodo was driving a motorcycle when he apparently failed to negotiative a curve, lost control and hit a guardrail.

The accident is under investigation by Charleroi Regional Police. They were assisted at the scene by Mon Valley EMS, the Charleroi Fire Department, Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Meanwhile, the Pennsylvania State Police in Armstrong County are investigating the death of a Connellsville man in the borough of Worthington Saturday morning. Alan Lipscomb, 29, was lying in the middle of State Route 422 when he was struck by a 65-year-old motorist about 2:30 a.m., police said. It is not known why Lipscomb was in the middle of the road.
