Two candidates for Monongahela Council’s two available seats will appear on the ballot in Tuesday’s primary.

Sarah J. O’Brien is the only Republican in the race and Walter Lee Mizwa will appear as a Democrat.

Mizwa said he would like to focus on green spaces and infrastructure.

“I’d like to see the parks upgraded,” he said.

O’Brien said she wants to focus on uniting the community.

“I’m trying to make the community better. We need somewhere for our kids to grow,” O’Brien said.
