Assault alleged: Daniel John Pobok, 58, of 158 Donner Ave., Monessen, is charged by Monessen police with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. According to police, about 4:15 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Third Street, Pobok swung a machete twice at a woman and threatened to kill her. District Judge Wayne Vlasic sent Pobok to the Westmoreland County Prison on $25,000 bond.
