Susan Jordan left the grandkids at home to spend a recent afternoon apple-picking with her sister, Cathy Mirt. The women said they enjoyed how peaceful Simmons Farm is on weekday afternoons and were looking forward to baking homemade pies with their freshly picked produce.

Cathy Mirt spent a recent afternoon picking apples at Simmons Farm in Peters Township. Mirt and her sister, Susan Jordan, both of Baldwin, said earlier this year they picked peaches at Simmons and enjoy the seasonal activity.
