SOUTH FRANKLIN

Assault alleged: Edward Charles Nixon, 56, of Pleasant Grove, South Franklin Township, is charged by state police with strangulation, simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment. According to court records, police were called to Nixon’s home at about 3:50 a.m. Sunday. Nixon is accused of choking and punching his daughter following an argument. District Judge Kelly Stewart sent Nixon to the Washington County jail on $25,000.
