First-grader Gracie Shrader is getting her pink on for Breast Cancer Awareness. Shrader and her mother, Kristen Shrader, president of Trinity North’s Parent Club, wore pink and manned the lemonade and popcorn stand last week to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Trinity North was shades of pink Friday, when students and staff wore their favorite pink tees and accessories to raise breast cancer awareness.

Each October, the elementary school participates in Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, Trinity North hosted a three-day pink lemonade and pink popcorn sale, and raised $1,098 for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides foundation.

The sale, which ended Oct. 21, was spearheaded by Parent Club members and students and raised the most funds Trinity North has ever donated to the ACS.
