Three Waynesburg University students ranked eighth in the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges (CCSC) Eastern Collegiate Programming Contest.

The Waynesburg team consisted of three computer science majors: juniors Adam Gill of Washington and Joshua DeFries of East Aurora, N.Y., and senior Mason Warner of Frostburg, Md.

They competed against more than 30 teams from across the eastern region at the 39th CCSC Eastern Conference at Bay Atlantic University in Washington, D.C.

All teams competing in the contest are given the same set of problems to solve and are ranked on the number of problems solved and the amount of time spent solving those problems.
