The Rotary Clubs of the Mid-Mon Valley are offering a chance to replace a peeling license plate for free from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 21 at the California Borough Building, 225 Third St.
State-approved certified safety inspectors and law enforcement officers will be on site to provide the authorized signature on Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Form MV-46 to replace a peeling license plate for free.
The operation of a vehicle with an illegible registration plate is a violation of the Vehicle Code, which may result in a $100 fine.
