Road rage: William Erwin Kupecz, 53, of Union Township, is charged by Monongahela police with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. According to the criminal complaint, about 11:40 a.m. Saturday, Kupecz passed a vehicle on State Route 88 and began brake-checking the driver, whom police identified as Alexis Novak. Novak passed Kupecz and came to a stop at the intersection of Route 88 and Chevy Chase Drive. Court documents state Kupecz rammed multiple times into the rear bumper of Novak’s vehicle, which was also occupied by three juveniles, pushing it into the intersection. Kupecz was arraigned Sunday before District Judge Gary Havelka, who sent him to the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
