Friday’s crash at the intersection of Route 136 and Brownlee Road in Somerset Township caused forced a car onto its side and resulted in two injuries.

Two people were transported to a Pittsburgh hospital Friday morning following a vehicle crash in Somerset Township.

The accident occurred at about 11 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 136 and Brownlee Road.

North Strabane Township Fire Department Capt. Dominic Sicchitano said the T-bone collision forced one of the vehicles to roll onto its side, trapping the driver inside.

There were passengers involved, but it was not immediately clear how many. Two people were taken to a Pittsburgh hospital by ambulance.

The accident snarled traffic at the four-way stop intersection, with traffic stopped in all directions.

Information about how the crash occurred was not immediately available. State police are investigating.

Also responding were Bentleyville, Ellsworth and Valley Inn fire departments; Ambulance and Chair Service, and the sheriff’s department.
