East Finley Township man jailed for child pornography

State police arrested an East Finley Township man Wednesday on more than 280 felony charges related to child pornography.
Zachary Lee Gentile, 23, is accused in court documents of owning social media accounts that were involved in uploading and sharing the illicit material. Police received the first report related to Gentile’s activity on March 30, 2022.
According to the criminal complaint, police tracked an email address to Gentile. In an interview with police in December 2022, Gentile allegedly confessed to being the owner of the email address.
Gentile was arraigned Wednesday morning before District Judge John Bruner, who sent him to the Washington County jail on $250,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Dec. 11.
