One in custody following Washington shooting

Washington police are searching for a man who is accused of shooting another man in the leg during an attempted robbery Sunday morning.
Police arrested Ross Goldstone, 26, of North Carolina, for his alleged involvement, but the shooter’s identity remains unknown to police.
According to the criminal complaint, at 10:30 a.m. police were called to the Family Dollar at 130 Highland Ave, where Nahzier Muhammad, 25, of Washington, was found lying on the floor. Police said Muhammad was taken by helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Surveillance footage showed Goldstone and the unknown suspect arrived while Muhammad was at the laundromat next door to the Family Dollar.
Court records state that Goldstone can be seen in the footage holding the laundromat door open for Muhammad. The other suspect attempted to rob Muhammad while wielding a firearm. Police said the gun went off during a struggle between Muhammad and his assailant.
The man fled the scene in a Dodge Avenger owned by Goldstone, and Washington police are searching for the vehicle, bearing Pennsylvania temporary registration number 4105206.
Goldstone remained at the scene but refused to provide information about the shooter to police. He apparently said he was advised to “leave it alone.”
Washington police charged Goldstone with felony conspiracy charges for aggravated assault and robbery. He was arraigned Sunday night before District Judge Kelly Stewart, who sent him to the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Dec. 27.
