State police arrested a Saltlick Township man Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly tried to run over his roommate with his car.

David Kolarik, 59, faces felony charges of attempted homicide and criminal mischief. Police were called to the 200 block of Melcroft Road shortly before 2 p.m. after Kolarik crashed the car into his home.

According to the criminal complaint, Kolarik told troopers he, “wants to murder Andy,” in reference to Andrew Graf, his roommate.

Graf told troopers that he went outside when he saw Kolarik pull into the driveway. According to court records, Kolarik accelerated towards Graf, who was able to get out of the way and back into the house.

Police said that surveillance footage showed that right before, Kolarik had crashed into a neighbor’s fence and garage.

Kolarik was arraigned Tuesday night before District Judge Ronald Haggerty, who sent him to the Fayette County jail on $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 12.
