East Washington man arrested for assault

An East Washington man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the assault of a woman.
Jazmany Luis Donatiu, 21, is charged by East Washington police with a felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeanors of simple assault and disorderly conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to Donatiu’s apartment in the 400 block of East Chestnut Street. Donatiu is accused of pushing the woman during an argument and then head-butting her. Police said she had “massive” facial contusions and was bleeding heavily, as her teeth went through her upper lip.
Donatiu was arraigned Thursday morning before District Judge Michael Manfredi, who sent him to the Washington County jail on $275,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. April 24.
