Kite Day Saturday at Washington Park

Anyone who is told to go fly a kite will have the perfect opportunity from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the second Kite Day at Washington Park Stone Pavilion.

Participants can bring their own kites, but the free event, hosted by the city, will also include a kite-making station.

“It’s just a fun day for families,” said DeAnna Martin, Washington recreation director.

There also will be music, yard games, and a Coolie Skoolie refreshment bus.
