Two men from Greene and Fayette counties were part of a group of 25 people charged by the FBI Wednesday for their alleged connection to a Philadelphia-based drug ring.
According to a press release from the Department of Justice, William Glover, 42, of Clarksville, and James Elli, 41, of Point Marion, were arrested along with 20 other suspects and are in federal custody.
Authorities continue to search for Rodney Johnson, 46, Ryan Shaw, 27, and Rasheab Bradsher, 47, all of Philadelphia.
According to the DOJ, the organization was supplying Monongalia County in West Virginia with “significant quantities” of drugs, including methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine.
“The indictment and subsequent arrests have led to the dismantling of a sophisticated operation that was causing large quantities of dangerous drugs to be distributed in our region,” said U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld in the release. “The work of our agents and prosecutors in this matter has made our communities safer and shows the reach that we have when it comes to the disruption of drug trafficking.”
Individuals from West Virginia, Michigan and New Jersey were also arrested in connection to the drug trafficking organization.
