A Pittsburgh man was killed in a shooting Monday night in Charleroi.

Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco identified the shooting victim as Tev Jerod Mungo, 31. According to Warco’s report, the shooting occurred shortly before 11 p.m. in front of a home in the 800 block of Lookout Avenue.

State police public information officer Kalee Barnhart said Charleroi Regional Police turned the investigation over to state police.

According to Barnhart, when police arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found Mungo lying on the sidewalk in front of 809 Lookout.

Investigators found that two bullets struck nearby homes, but there were no other reported injuries.

District Judge Eric Porter signed off on three search warrants for 809 Lookout Ave., 809 Lookout Ave. Rear and 807 Lookout Ave. early Tuesday morning. According to the warrants, police found a handgun and shell casings at the scene.

Witnesses reported hearing about 20 gunshots.

The search warrant indicates that police removed shell casings and clothing from 809 Lookout Ave. Rear, and a firearm from 807 Lookout.

No arrests have been made.

“As far as developing suspects, we are still conducting interviews and trying to track down who did this,” Barnhart said.

Mungo was declared dead at the scene at 12:25 a.m.
