Two firefighters from Washington County went to Shippensburg this week to participate in the Pennsylvania Wildland Fire Academy. Attending were South Strabane firefighter Wesley Attwood and Jacob Coen, who is a volunteer at Lawrence Fire Company in Cecil Township. Attwood explained that the training went over the basics of managing wildland incidents, such as large brush fires.
