State police arrested a Buffalo Township man Saturday after he was accused of threatening multiple relatives with firearms.
Robert Leroy Mull Jr, 60, faces more than 30 misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, on Friday night, Mull went next door to his mother’s house in the 3900 block of Route 40 with an AR-15. Family members told investigators he wanted to know the location of his wife, who was in hiding due to previous domestic incidents, court documents state.
After Mull left, relatives took his guns and locked them in a safe. According to the complaint, he sent a text message threatening that “all hell is going to break loose” if someone did not tell him his wife’s location.
Mull returned to his mother’s at about 10:30 a.m. with a handgun demanding to have his weapons returned, according to the complaint. State police arrived about 10 minutes later.
Court documents indicate there were seven victims. Investigators described them as being visibly frightened and upset when officers arrived.
Mull was arraigned Saturday afternoon before District Judge Kelly Stewart, who sent him to the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. June 18.
