The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will partner with a number of agencies to host a free public Safety Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Mount Morris Welcome Center.

Participating agencies are state police, Highway Safety Network, Nemacolin Volunteer Fire Department, Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firemen’s Association, and Sexual Trauma Treatment and Recovery Services (STTARS). The PennDOT Workers’ Memorial, which pays tribute to the 90 PennDOT workers who have been killed in the line of duty since 1970, will also be on display.

The Mount Morris Welcome Center is located at Interstate 79 northbound, 5 miles north of the Pennsylvania/West Virginia border.
