A firefighter was injured while responding to a fire along Strosnider Road in Dunkard Township early Saturday morning.

The fire broke out in a mobile home after 4 a.m., but it’s not known if anyone was inside the residence at the time or the extent of the damage done to the structure.

The Bobtown-Dunkard Township Volunteer Fire Department could not be reached for comment, and it is unclear what company the injured firefighter is with. The extent of the firefighter’s injuries were not immediately released.

The state police fire marshal is investigating, although the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
