The office of the Pennsylvania attorney general charged a Carmichaels man Friday after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

Hunter Keith Shriver, 20, faces felony charges of rape of an unconscious victim, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault.

According to the criminal complaint, the woman reported to police in October 2022 that Shriver had raped her at a Franklin Township home.

The woman was treated at Washington Hospital and had a rape kit done. In February of last year, Washington County District Judge Michael Manfredi authorized a search warrant for Shriver’s DNA.

About a month later, lab results showed his DNA was a match for the sample obtained from the rape kit, according to the complaint.

Shriver was arraigned Monday morning before District Judge Thomas Ankrom, who released him on $50,000 unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. March 28.
