Valley Garden Club scholarship deadline approaching

Graduating high school students in several area school districts have until April 13 to apply for a $1,500 scholarship from the Valley Garden Club.
The scholarship is for students pursuing an education in the study of horticulture, agriculture related fields, landscape architecture/design, botany, plant pathology, forestry, agronomy, environmental concerns, city planning or land management.
Students in Belle Vernon, Monessen, Ringgold, Charleroi, Frasier and California Area school districts are eligible, and can get application information from their respective guidance counselors.
The scholarship will be awarded for the full academic year and will be given directly to the student to further his or her education. No financial information is needed to apply for this scholarship.
