Sheetz is in the process of building a new location along Pike Street right off of Interstate 79.

Two new Sheetz locations are springing up quickly in Washington County. The Altoona-based convenience store chain is close to finishing work on a store at the intersection of North Main and East Pike streets in Houston. The Houston Sheetz is scheduled to open in June. Another Sheetz is under construction just about three miles away, at 650 Pike St. in Chartiers Township, near the Interstate 79 on- and off-ramps at Meadow Lands. Township officials previously said they expect the store to open sometime in the summer. This will bring the total number of Sheetz operations in Washington County to five, joining locations on Racetrack Road and along Route 19 near Canonsburg. Another location at 111 E. Main St. in Monongahela is closed for remodeling.
