Nurses assaulted: Elizabeth Marie Chiesa, 37, of Bentleyville, was charged with three counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment after Carroll Township police said she attacked several nurses Tuesday afternoon while she was a patient in the emergency room at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She is being held at the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

WASHINGTON

Hospital assault: Ryan Matthew Kurtz, 35, of North Strabane, was charged with aggravated assault, assault on law enforcement, disorderly conduct and harassment after Washington Health System police said he attacked staff members and a police officer at Washington Hospital while undergoing a CT scan Tuesday night. He is being held at the Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
