Assault alleged: James T. Housley, 45, of Finleyville, is charged by Monongahela police with burglary and simple assault. According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the 60 block of McChain Road at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Police said that Housley forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home and grabbed her by the hair. District Judge Kelly Stewart sent Housley to the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond.

Terroristic threats: Demoreaze Jamill Betts, 31, of Washington, is charged by Washington police with burglary, fleeing an officer, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats and simple assault. According to the criminal complaint, shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday, Betts broke into a home in the 100 block of Church Street by climbing through a window. He was armed with a gun, and threatened to kill a woman who was in the residence, court documents state. Police said Betts threw a wooden table at the victim and pushed her to the ground before fleeing. District Judge Kelly Stewart sent Betts to the Washington County jail on $150,000 bond.
