CARROLL

Rape allegations: Harrison Carr, 57, formerly of Carroll Township, is charged by Carroll Township police with rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, sexual assault and indecent exposure. According to the criminal complaint, the youth, now 14, reported multiple assaults to police in October 2023. Carr is accused of sexually assaulting the victim more than 50 times between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. In 2021 Carr pleaded guilty to similar charges against three different victims and is currently incarcerated in SCI Greene in Franklin Township, according to online court records.

McDONALD

Assault alleged: Carmina Skye Chiovitti, 19, of McDonald, is charged by McDonald police with escape, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, evading arrest, resisting arrest and driving under the influence. According to the criminal complaint, police pulled over Chiovitti’s vehicle at about 11:20 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of West Lincoln Avenue after she was involved in a road rage incident. Police said she attempted to flee on foot during a sobriety test, kicked an officer in the genitals and head, and threatened officers’ lives. Chiovitti was able to escape the police vehicle and fled on foot, but she turned herself in the following day, according to court paperwork. District Judge James Saieva sent Chiovitti to the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.

PETERS

Assault alleged: Jimmy Glatfelter, 43, of Peters Township, is charged by Peters Township police with aggravated assault and strangulation. According to the criminal complaint, Glatfelter’s wife reported to police Saturday that he choked her at about 5 a.m. Friday. Police said in charging documents that the woman had many visible injuries all over her body, including bruising and scratches. District Judge James Saieva sent Glatfelter to the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.

WASHINGTON

Drug arrest: Ryan Martel Brown, 35, and Marissa Ann Brown, 35, both of Washington, are charged by Washington County detectives with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. According to the criminal complaint, police served a search warrant at the Browns’ home in the 500 block of East Maiden Street Friday morning. Police said they found 39 “bricks” of suspected heroin during the search. District Judge James Saieva sent them both to the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
