Joseph J. Wehar, 88, of Bethel Park, died Thursday, November 29, 2012.
He was the beloved husband of Donna; loving father of Joseph (Ann) Wehar Jr., Catherine (Phillip) Didion, Linda (Daniel) Coyle, James (Susan) Wehar, Carol (David) Miller and Glenn (Kathryn) Wehar; cherished grandfather of David, Stephen, Emily, Phillip, Ashley, Laura, Andrew, Michael, Lauren and Annie; beloved great-grandfather of Kayden and Kennedy; and brother of Frank Wehar Jr., Lawrence Wehar, Agnes Lewandowski, Louis (Marlene) Wehar and the late Andrew, Jacob, Robert and Rita.
Mr. Wehar was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II, receiving three bronze stars for his service in the European, African and Middle Eastern campaigns.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Paul L. Henney Memorial Chapel, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park. Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday, December 3, in St. Germaine Church, Bethel Park. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
